Dijous Bo 2026 in Inca: Dates, Programme and How to Get There
Every November, Inca becomes the busiest town in Mallorca. Dijous Bo (“Good Thursday”) is the island’s biggest and most traditional fair, and in 2026 it takes place on Thursday 19 November. Here is everything you need to know: dates, the fairs leading up to it, how to get there from Sóller and Palma, and what not to miss.
1. What Is Dijous Bo?
Dijous Bo is the grand finale of Inca’s autumn fairs, a tradition with roots in the Middle Ages, when Inca was the main trading centre of inland Mallorca. Farmers and craftsmen from all over the island came to buy and sell livestock, tools and produce.
Today it is a huge celebration that fills the whole town centre with stalls, exhibitions, music and food. Recent editions have attracted well over 150,000 visitors in a single day, which makes it the “fair of all fairs” in the Balearic Islands.
2. Dijous Bo 2026: Key Dates
The celebrations start weeks before the big day. These are the official dates for 2026:
- Primera Fira – Fira de la Terra: 24–25 October. Agriculture, flowers and plants, local crafts and the Rondalles (Mallorcan folk tales) fair.
- Segona Fira – Fira de l’Esport i de l’Oci: 31 October – 1 November. Motor, sport and leisure. Inca Town Council suspended all municipal events from 29 to 31 October as a sign of mourning for the Toledo rail accident. The programme resumes on Sunday 1 November.
- Tercera Fira – Fira d’Època: 7–8 November, with the medieval market opening on Friday 6 November.
- Setmana Gran – Festes de Santa Maria la Major: 14–15 November.
- Dimecres Bo: Wednesday 18 November. The eve of the fair, with a big popular party in the evening.
- Dijous Bo: Thursday 19 November. The great agricultural, livestock and commercial fair.
The fairground rides at the Quarter General Luque are open from 23 October to 20 November, with quiet sessions without music on Friday and Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings.

4. What to See and Do at Dijous Bo
Based on previous editions, this is what you can expect on the day:
- The great market: hundreds of stalls with local products, crafts, clothing, tools and plenty of Mallorcan treats.
- Livestock and agricultural exhibitions: a reminder of the fair’s rural origins, with local breeds such as the Mallorcan black pig.
- Food everywhere: sobrassada, ensaïmadas, roasted chestnuts, seasonal mushrooms and traditional street food.
- Inca’s cellers: the town is famous for its old wine cellars turned into restaurants, perfect for a traditional Mallorcan lunch. Book ahead, they fill up fast on Dijous Bo.
- Leather and shoes: Inca has long been Mallorca’s leather and footwear capital, so it is a good day to browse local leather goods.
