GARDEN EXHIBITIONS

The Balearic flora throughout the seasons is depicted in an exquisite mural illustrated by Cati Artigues, co-financed by environmental education grants from GOIB. The Sóller Botanical Garden, devoted to the conservation and study of Balearic flora, features plant collections of both wild and cultivated species. These collections support research on plant biodiversity and their adaptations within their environments. Throughout the year, the plants exhibit adaptations to the Mediterranean seasons: mild winters, vigorous springs, dry summers, and reactivating autumns. By observing phenology, it is possible to study the impact of climate change on ecosystems, aiding in the identification of vulnerable species and the development of conservation measures..
