The island’s most fertile almond-growing region lies at its heart, encompassing areas such as Marratxí, Bunyola, Santa Maria, Sencelles, Lloseta, and Selva.

The southwestern part of the island also deserves attention, especially the municipalities of Manacor, Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, and Son Servera, although almond trees can be found throughout Mallorca.

However, if you would like to hike and discover it, the most recommended routes are:

Es Capdellá – Puig Galatzó
Alaró – Alaró Castle
Puig de Ses Bruixes in Llucmajor

One of the best ways to experience this stunning natural event is by taking a scenic ride on a historic train from Palma to Sóller. As the train journeys through enchanting valleys, you’ll pass by fields of blooming almond trees, making for a truly memorable adventure.

Among the most beloved traditional Mallorcan desserts, the gató d’ametlles (almond gató) is a must-try. This moist almond cake is often served with a scoop of almond ice cream, creating a perfect blend of flavors that highlights the island’s rich almond heritage.
