Almond Blossom in Mallorca
Every year, from late January to mid-March, Mallorca transforms into a breathtaking sea of white and pink hues as thousands of almond trees burst into bloom. This natural spectacle is one of the island’s most beautiful sights, attracting nature lovers, photographers, and visitors eager to experience the essence of Mallorca’s countryside. Furthermore, in Mallorca we can find two types of almond tree: the bitter almond with pink flowers and the sweet almond with white flowers.
The island’s most fertile almond-growing region lies at its heart, encompassing areas such as Marratxí, Bunyola, Santa Maria, Sencelles, Lloseta, and Selva.
The southwestern part of the island also deserves attention, especially the municipalities of Manacor, Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, and Son Servera, although almond trees can be found throughout Mallorca.

One of the best ways to experience this stunning natural event is by taking a scenic ride on a historic train from Palma to Sóller. As the train journeys through enchanting valleys, you’ll pass by fields of blooming almond trees, making for a truly memorable adventure.

In February, visitors can also experience the delightful Almond Blossom Fair held in Son Servera, a unique celebration of this local tradition.
